Serie de comics basada en la serie cinematografica escrita y dirigida por los hermanos Andy y Larry Wachowski iniciada en 1999 con The Matrix y sus continuaciones The Matrix Reloaded y The Matrix Revolutions.
La serie aparecio inicialmente en forma de webcomics publicados en 1999 en la pagina web oficial whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com de Warner Bros. como promocion del film The Matrix, y fue recopilada posteriormente junto con otras historias inéditas en The Matrix Comics (2003) y The Matrix Comics vol. 2 (2004), por parte de la editorial de los hermanos Wachowski, Burlyman Entertainment.
